In August 2026, Paul Warren spoke with Ryan Wolf on The Veil podcast about his ten year investigation into the murder of his daughter, Elly Rose Warren.
In this episode, Paul discusses Elly, the evidence he has uncovered, material that was not disclosed during the investigation, the camouflaging and tampering of evidence at the crime scene by Mozambique police and the failure of the AFP to properly recognise and disclose vital evidence to the Coroner. Paul also discusses flaws in the 2023 inquest into Elly’s death, particularly the failure to call relevant witnesses and the reliance on a VIFM doctor whose conclusions were the subject of scrutiny in light of the evidence. He also discusses the questions that remain surrounding Elly’s murder in Tofo, Mozambique on the 9th November 2016.
In 2022, the family's private investigator, Mr Roos had reopened the case due to the corrupt Mozambique police involved having all been dismissed. Mr Roo’s then worked with the new SERNIC detectives assigned to the case. In earlier 2026 Mr Roos informed Paul that SERNIC is aware of who murdered Elly but does not have sufficient evidence to proceed. This remains the current situation as understood by the family.
The episode provides an opportunity to hear Paul speak openly about the evidence and his investigation. Supporting documents and source material are available throughout this website. The episode presented here is the full, uncut conversation.
